Hey – got any tips for dog racing in 2019?

I get asked this more times than I care to remember. In conversation when meeting new people and they ask ‘what do you do’ and I happen to mention that one of my businesses is in sports trading, they nearly always ask two questions….

One – That’s just betting – right?

And

Two – Got any tips for dog racing?

That second question always comes after I’ve given a brief explanation of the two trap greyhound system. But even then, people still don’t seem to get it.

‘So what’s the name of the dog in Trap 3 then?’ ‘I don’t know’ I reply, ‘in fact I don’t care – it’s irrelevant’

‘What!’ Is often the confused response back, ‘that makes no sense’ they’ll say.

‘Buy the book and watch the training, it’s all in their’ Is usually what I tell them.

‘Why should I buy the book – can’t you just tell me? I’m asked….

At which point I figure out they’ll never even use the information anyway, but I’m still not going to give them a ‘free copy’.

My stock response to freebie seekers is, ‘so when you go to work – do you give your boss free working days, when you won’t get paid any wages, do you say “Here You Are Boss – Today I’ll work for FREE”?’ The reply is usually along the lines of ‘no, that would be stupid and I’ve done the work so I should get paid for it’,

at which point the smarter ones will have an ‘aha’ moment.

You’ve done the work to research, test, write, promote, build a member site and continually review the system. Of course, you should be getting paid for it….

Finally – the penny drops! Life is beautiful!!
